Boeing 737 Engine Fan Blade Magnetic Display (1967)

Since its first flight in 1967, the Boeing 737 has become the best-selling jetliner family in history, and somewhere in the world one takes off every few seconds. Many of them are powered by the CFM56, one of the most produced jet engines ever built, with tens of thousands in service. Its titanium fan blades take in air at the front of the engine and push the aircraft through the sky, cycle after cycle, for years.

This piece starts with a real fan blade that once flew. Our studio team in Los Angeles cuts a section from the blade, then cut, engraved, heat-colored with open flame, anodized and hand-polished it, step by step, until the metal shows colors and a shine you never see on an engine. Every blade carries its own wear marks and history, so no two are the same. It is our way of giving a part that spent its life in the sky a second life on your desk.
