NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Graphics Card (2016)

Launched in 2016, the GTX 1080 and its Pascal GP104 chip were a huge leap in graphics performance, the card that made 4K and VR gaming real for PC builders and still a legend in the community. This piece goes further than any teardown we make: under the cooler sits a real GPU chip taken from a second GTX 1080, so every single piece uses two graphics cards. The frame is open in front, with no glass, so you can see every fin, screw and texture up close.

Most people never get to see what is inside the graphics card that powered their favorite games. At FunBox Design, our studio team takes every GTX 1080 apart by hand: careful disassembly, deep cleaning of every single part, layout design, and final production in our Los Angeles workshop. Using two cards for one piece is not the easy way, but this hardware holds some of our own best gaming memories. Our goal is simple: bring it a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from real used hardware, so light scratches or small signs of use may show. We think they are part of its story.
