Nintendo Wii Controller (2006)

In 2006 the Wii Remote got grandparents bowling in the living room. Its motion sensors and infrared pointer turned gaming into something the whole family could do with a swing of the arm, and Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit helped the Wii sell over 100 million consoles.

We know how much a Wii Remote can mean, because we grew up with them too. Every piece starts with a real device that our studio team disassembles by hand, cleans part by part, lays out and mounts in our Los Angeles workshop. It is slow, careful work, and it finally lets you see the engineering hidden inside the device you once spent countless hours with. This is how we bring it a second life.

WHAT’S IN THE FRAME

• Genuine Nintendo Wii Remote parts: real and original, not prints or replicas
• The motion-sensing circuit board, infrared camera sensor, speaker, rumble motor, buttons and the shell, laid out so you can see how it all fits together
• Every part hand-disassembled, cleaned and mounted one by one
• Shadow box frame, ready to hang on the wall or stand on a desk or shelf
• Size: 15.4″ x 12.5″ x 2″ (approx. 39 x 32 x 5 cm)
• Comes in a gift box, ready to give
• Handmade by the FunBox Design studio in Los Angeles

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
