Nokia 1100 (2003)

With around 250 million units sold, the Nokia 1100 of 2003 is one of the best-selling phones in history. Tough, simple, with a built-in flashlight and a battery that lasted for days, it was the first mobile phone for a huge part of the world.

Most people never get to see what is inside the phone that stayed in their pocket every day for years. At FunBox Design, our studio team takes every Nokia 1100 apart by hand: careful disassembly, deep cleaning of every single part, layout design, and final production in our Los Angeles workshop. It takes hours of patient, screw-by-screw work, because these devices hold some of our own best memories too. Our goal is simple: bring them a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
