Apple iPhone 3G Rectangular Frame (2008)

The iPhone 3G of 2008 arrived together with the App Store, the moment the iPhone turned from a phone into a platform. With faster 3G data, built-in GPS and its glossy curved plastic back, it is the phone that first put apps like maps, games and social media into millions of pockets.

We know how much an iPhone 3G can mean, because we lived with them too. Every piece starts with a real device that our studio team disassembles by hand, cleans part by part, lays out and mounts in our Los Angeles workshop. It is slow, careful work, and it finally lets you see the engineering hidden inside the phone you once held every day. This is how we bring it a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
