Apple iPod Classic 4th Generation (2004)

The fourth-generation iPod of 2004 brought the Click Wheel, the smooth circle that combined scrolling and buttons into one perfect control, along with a 12-hour battery life. It became the iconic image of the iPod era and of the white earbuds that were everywhere in the mid-2000s.

Most people never get to see what is inside the music player that carried the soundtrack of their life. At FunBox Design, our studio team takes every iPod Classic apart by hand: careful disassembly, deep cleaning of every single part, layout design, and final production in our Los Angeles workshop. It takes hours of patient, screw-by-screw work, because these devices hold some of our own best memories too. Our goal is simple: bring them a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
