Nikon F with 80mm Cutaway Lens Set (1959)

The Nikon F of 1959 was Nikon’s first SLR and the camera that made Japanese photography famous worldwide. Photojournalists carried it through wars and world events, and its modular system set the standard for professional cameras for decades. The set adds a real Nikon 80mm lens cut open down the middle, so you can see every glass element, the aperture blades and the focusing helicoid inside.

We know how much a Nikon F can mean, because cameras like this one recorded our own childhoods too. Every piece starts with a real camera that our studio team disassembles by hand, cleans part by part, designs and assembles in our Los Angeles workshop. It is slow, careful work, and it finally lets you see the precision mechanics that hid inside the body for decades. This is how we bring it a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Every piece is built from a real vintage camera, so light scratches or signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story, and they make each piece one of a kind.
