Palm Pre (2009)

The Palm Pre of 2009 was the underdog that impressed everyone. Its webOS introduced swipeable multitasking “cards” and smart notifications, ideas that iOS and Android later made their own, all inside a smooth pebble-shaped slider with a hidden keyboard.

Most people never get to see what is inside the phone that stayed in their pocket every day for years. At FunBox Design, our studio team takes every Palm Pre apart by hand: careful disassembly, deep cleaning of every single part, layout design, and final production in our Los Angeles workshop. It takes hours of patient, screw-by-screw work, because these devices hold some of our own best memories too. Our goal is simple: bring them a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
