About these terms

These terms apply when you use funbox.design or place an order with FunBox Design, operated by [legal business name], [business mailing address]. By placing an order, you agree to these terms, our shipping policy, our returns & exchanges policy and our privacy policy.

Our pieces

Our pieces are handmade decorative art made from genuine devices. They are not functional electronics and can't be switched on.

Most devices we frame are 10 to 30 years old and may show surface scratches or a slightly cracked screen. Unless the product page lets you choose an option, the exact unit and its color are selected at random. Because every piece is handmade, your piece may differ slightly from the photos.

Orders

When you place an order, you'll receive an email confirming that we've received it. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a price was listed in error or a device can't be sourced. If we do, we'll refund you in full to your original payment method. You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown at checkout, and payment is taken when you place your order. Many of our devices are vintage and limited in number, so a design's price rises by 10% each time 100 are sold. The price you pay is the price shown when you order.

International orders may be charged import duties and taxes by the destination country. These are paid by the recipient.

Custom orders

For made-to-order commissions, we send you a quote, and payment is made in full before work begins. We send a design preview for your approval before production. If you send us your own device, shipping it to us is at your own cost. Custom pieces are built to your brief and, as a rule, can't be returned.

Our designs and content

All designs, layouts, compositions, photos and text on this site are original works of FunBox Design. You may not copy, reproduce or sell them without our written permission.

All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to brands such as Apple, Nintendo and Sony only identify the original products used in our artwork and don't imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Reviews you submit

If you submit a review or photos, you confirm they're your own and give us permission to display them on our site. We publish reviews regardless of star rating, but we may decline content that is unlawful, offensive or unrelated to the product.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Los Angeles County, California, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring a claim where you live.
