Vintage Camera Desk Lamp

This is not just a display, it is a lamp you will use every day. We start with a genuine Petri FT, a classic 35mm SLR from one of Japan’s long-running camera makers, and turn it into a working LED desk lamp. Rotate the original lens to focus the light: narrow it into a spotlight for reading, or open it wide to flood your desk. A separate dimmer knob sets the brightness, and it runs on USB power, so it plugs into a laptop, power bank or wall adapter.

Our studio team builds every lamp by hand in Los Angeles: we take each Petri FT apart, clean every part, design the light and wiring to fit inside the original body, then put it all back together so the lens still turns like it did decades ago. A camera that once captured light now gives it back. This is how we bring it a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Every piece is built from a real vintage camera, so light scratches or signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story, and they make each piece one of a kind.
