Apple iPhone 4 Square Frame (2010)

The iPhone 4 was the last iPhone Steve Jobs introduced on stage, and many still call it the most beautiful iPhone ever made: two panes of glass around a stainless steel band that doubled as the antenna. It brought the first Retina display, FaceTime video calls and Apple’s own A4 chip.

Behind the glass is something you rarely get to see: the inside of an iPhone 4 that once carried someone’s calls, texts and photos. Our studio members spend hours on each piece, from disassembly and cleaning to designing the layout and producing the final piece, all by hand in Los Angeles. We grew up with these phones, and every build is our way of giving a beloved piece of tech history a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from a real pre-owned device, so light scratches or small signs of age may show. We think they are part of its story.
