Nokia Lumia 520 (2013)

The Lumia 520 of 2013 was the best-selling Windows Phone ever, bringing Nokia’s colorful design and the smooth tile interface to millions of people at an affordable price. It is a piece of the short but memorable Windows Phone era.

Behind the glass is something you rarely get to see: the inside of a Lumia 520 that once carried someone’s calls, texts and photos. Our studio members spend hours on each piece, from disassembly and cleaning to designing the layout and producing the final piece, all by hand in Los Angeles. We grew up with these phones, and every build is our way of giving a beloved piece of tech history a second life.
