NVIDIA Tesla V100 Accelerator (2017)

The Tesla V100 of 2017 brought Tensor Cores to the world and became the workhorse of the deep learning boom, training many of the AI models and research breakthroughs of its time inside data centers around the world. Most people will never see one in person, let alone from the inside.

Behind the glass is something you rarely get to see: the inside of a Tesla V100 that once worked hard inside someone’s computer. Our studio members spend hours on each piece, from disassembly and cleaning to designing the layout and producing the final frame, all by hand in Los Angeles. We grew up building and upgrading PCs, and every piece is our way of giving a beloved part of tech history a second life.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece is built from real used hardware, so light scratches or small signs of use may show. We think they are part of its story.
